On Tuesday, 20 February 2024, a lecture entitled “Libanius, Declamatio 27: The Difficult Old Man and His Son. Misanthropy and the Politics of Laughter in Fourth-Century AD Antioch” was delivered by Antonis Petridis, Associate Professor of Ancient Greek Philology (Open University of Cyprus), at the Paschalis Paschalidis Event Hall of Hellenic Bank.
The lecture was organized by KELOPOS in collaboration with the Programme “Studies in Hellenic Culture” of the Open University of Cyprus, as part of the first lecture series dedicated to various aspects of Greco-Roman antiquity.
