On Tuesday, 21 November 2023, a lecture was held in the Paschalis Paschalides Auditorium of Hellenic Bank, delivered by Georgios Deligiannakis, Associate Professor of Ancient History at the Open University of Cyprus. The lecture was entitled “Those Who Befriend Death… Depart Smiling: Eschatological Laughter in Late Antiquity.”

The event was organised by KELOPOS in collaboration with the “Studies in Greek Culture” programme of the Open University of Cyprus, as part of the first series of lectures exploring various aspects of Greco-Roman antiquity.
