The intersection of language, creativity, and the process of textual production has long constituted a significant object of academic inquiry within the fields of linguistics and literary theory. Despite sustained and systematic research on the subject, a substantial gap remains in our understanding of the ways in which multilingualism dynamically shapes the creative process.
The seminar entitled “Multilingualism and the Dynamics of the Creative Process”, jointly coordinated by the Director of KELOPOS, Dr Kostis Pavlou, and Professor of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University, Mateusz Antoniuk, seeks to address this gap in part by examining how multiple linguistic influences interact and inform the process of textual production—particularly in cases where an ostensibly monolingual published work emerges from a multilingual creative process.
The research seminar is the product of a collaboration between the Centre for Literary and Cultural Studies (KELOPOS) and the Creativity Research Centre (CCR) of the Jagiellonian University of Kraków.
