Kateřina Bočková Loudová

Kateřina is an Assistant Professor of Greek Linguistics at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. She specializes in the syntax and pragmatics of Medieval Greek, with a particular focus on discourse markers and sentence structure. Her recent research examines the position of Greek within the Standard Average European linguistic area. In addition to her linguistic work, she has published numerous studies on the early history of Modern Greek studies in the Czech lands. She is the editor in chief of the peer reviewed journal Neograeca Bohemica, published by the Czech Society for Modern Greek Studies, and serves on the editorial board of Byzantinoslavica.
